When the long-running television series "Suits" returns for its seventh season this summer, viewers will be seeing a new, but also familiar, face.

"Psych" actor Dule Hill is reportedly returning to USA Network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But this time, he will be joining the cast of "Suits" season 7 as Alex Williams, a lawyer and senior partner at Bratton Gould, which is the rival of the Pearson Specter Litt law firm. His character is also said to be a long-time friend of Harvey Specter's (Gabriel Macht), one of New York City's best lawyers and Pearson Specter Litt's managing partner.

Hill will have a recurring role for the whole season. For now, it is uncertain as to how his character's presence will affect the storyline, but seeing as he and his friend are working at rival firms, it could stir up some conflict. It has also been revealed that Alex has an impressive roster of clients.

Last season, viewers saw Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) finally becoming a lawyer with Harvey's help, as well as a surprise appearance from Pearson Specter Litt's former managing partner Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). Torres' character, however, will no longer be making an appearance in the upcoming season. She announced last year that although exiting "Suits" was a difficult decision, it was a necessary move so she could get back to her life.

As with Mike's relationship with Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), fans are eager to see what will happen now that they are both lawyers. Also, there have been talks that Markle will soon be retiring from acting to focus on other things, especially now that she is dating Prince Harry and things are getting pretty serious. However, it might be a while before that happens as she has already signed on for the whole of season 7.

"Suits" will return to the small screens with season 7 on July 12, at 9 p.m. on USA Network. While waiting, fans can catch up on all episodes of the previous season on the USA Network website and the USA Now app.
