With season 2 wrapped up, fans of Netflix's original thrilling television series "Stranger Things" are already exchanging plot speculations for season three. Season 2 ended with a scene of the upside down with the Mind Flayer still at large.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, executive producer Ross Duffer explained that they are looking forward to season 3. Duffer said, "We thought this was a good way to end it, to clarify that the threat is still out there, but it gives us a lot of flexibility moving forward."

Just like season 1, the second season ended with a cliffhanger and fans have been quick to share their own speculations or suggestions on what to be included in season 3. After the tragic death of a well-liked character, Bob Newby (Sean Astin), fans are wondering if Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Jim Hopper (David Harbour) will take their relationship to the next level.

The season finale's star is none other than Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), according to many fans. It was adorable and a little heartbreaking to see Dustin crying in the bleachers because no one would dance with her. Most viewers were happy to see Nancy Byers (Natalia Dyer) ask Dustin for the dance and the two just drifted away. In an interview with SiriusXM, Eleven or Jane (Millie Bobby Brown) herself said, "I think that the end with Dustin and Nancy, was the cutest thing." Many people are asking if there will be something between Dustin and Nancy in the next season, but that is most likely impossible given the age gap.

Many supporters of the series are also asking for more Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) in season 3. Season 2 managed to introduce a whole new side of Steve as a friend and a hero.

According to other plot speculations for season 3, people are wondering if there are any subjects to the MKUltra research led by Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine). Eleven's sister, 008 or Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) had already been introduced, but her screen time in season 2 isn't that long. Millions of "Stranger Things'" viewers are waiting for the first sneak peek of season 3.
