Also, Steam is not the only one offering huge discounts on games. There are also discount offerings on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, Nintendo and several more.

Meanwhile, the digital distribution company is also holding its first Steam Awards, and every game is eligible to win an award, as long as the games have their respective Steam Store page. Gamers need to click the giant purple nomination button for the games they want to vote. Only one game can be nominated per category, and there are eight of them that have very unusual names. The awards are: "Test of Time," "I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye," "Just 5 More Minutes," "Whoooaaaaaaa, dude!," "Villain Most In Need Of A Hug," "Game Within A Game," "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award," and "Best Use of a Farm Animal." Winners will be announced next month.

The Steam Annual Autumn Sale 2016 will run until Nov. 29.
