"Star Wars: Battlefront" EA Games

Since the reveal of "Star Wars: Battlefront" back in April, fans have been dying to know if a beta version of the game will be available — and it will be, as reported by Electronic Arts. The beta version will arrive in October.

According to the announcement, the beta version will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC; it will serve as a "technical test" that features the multiplayer mode "Walker Assault on Hoth."

In this mode, the battle between the Empire and the Rebels will be featured. Players in this mode will have the chance to play the legendary characters in the world of "Star Wars" — Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader — in a 20 vs. 20 battle.

In addition to the multiplayer mode, "Star Wars: Battlefront" beta will also offer "Survival Mission on Tatooine," in which the player and a Rebel companion will fight against several Imperial forces, as stated in the report.

Another game mode coming to the beta version is the "Drop Zone." However, not a lot of details have been shared about this particular game mode but game developer DICE has promised that more announcements will be coming as the launch date for beta approaches.

It was also revealed in the "Star Wars: Battlefront" site that a Battlefront Companion experience also joins the beta version.

This will be a card-based game called Base Command that lets players earn credits used to unlock weapons and other cool stuff in "Star Wars: Battlefront."

All the game elements found in the beta version is expected to make gamers all the more excited for the release of the full game.

Players should watch out for the beta version which will be released by October, although no official date has been announced yet.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will become available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting Nov. 17.
