'Speechless' news: Episode 7 features Thanksgiving dinner

ABC's sitcom television series is looking to attract more viewers with episode 7 scheduled to air on Nov. 15. The sixth episode had the least number of viewers among all aired episodes of the second season.

According to TV by the Numbers, episode 6 titled "S-h-Shipping" only got 3.86 million viewers with other previous episode generating more than four million people. In the most recent episode, JJ (Micah Fowler) met a new friend who is also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Nora (Jessy Yates). Maya (Minnie Driver) and Jimmy (John Rose Bowie) shared their wisdom about dating to their son Ray (). Also, Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) allied with some Lafayette alumni to quash the no-prank initiative of the school.

The seventh episode will be season 2's Thanksgiving chapter. The DiMeo family is pulling all the stops in order to impress their beloved grandmother Andrea (Holland Taylor) who is coming to visit. After not seeing her mother for many years, Maya is under a lot of stress to make it the best Thanksgiving Day ever. Uncle Billy (Rob Corddry) will also be coming for dinner.

Jimmy is also dealing with getting older and its effects to his bodily functions. Most of the promotional photos of the episode revealed a lot of confused and shocked faces.

Meanwhile, Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) is dealing with a crisis himself with him spending Thanksgiving with his arrogantly domineering father, The Colonel (Keith David). The seventh episode's title is "B-r-i-British I-n-v-Invasion."

Season 1 of the series received an impressive 98% score rating from Rotten Tomatoes and 79% from Metacritic. The cast and crew are hoping for the same or even better outcome for season 2. Most of the cast were commended for their performance both seasons. The first episode of season 2 opened with a bang with JJ receiving his first kiss. Episode 1 recorded an estimate of 5.03 million viewers on Sept. 27.

New episodes air every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
