The first look at Ichabod Crane's (Tom Mison) first adventure with his new partner, Diana Thomas (Janina Gavankar), is finally revealed.

TVLine exclusively released a new photo showing Ichabod and Diana staring down a pile of old books in one of the buildings in Washington, D.C.

The fourth season of "Sleepy Hollow" will serve as a reboot of the police-procedural supernatural drama series, after its female lead, Nicole Beharie, said goodbye to her character, Abbie Mills, at the end of season 3.

Aside from Diana, Ichabod will work with several individuals, like the supernatural archives engineer Alex Norwood (Rachel Melvin) and research analyst Jake Wells (Jerry MacKinnon), in Washington D.C. to uncover the lies in American history.

Meanwhile, in an interview with TVLine, Mison described how his character first interacted with Diana. According to the actor, the two characters will find themselves in an antagonistic relationship at first. However, they will soon find common ground that will strengthen their bond. "So she, having lost her partner, and Ichabod loses his... there is a hole that needs to be filled, whether they will admit it or not," the actor said.

Mison also described the changes that will happen to Ichabod after losing Abbie in season 3, as well as how he will take his new mission without him.

He mentioned that the Ichabod that had Abbie by his side and the Ichabod without Abbie is almost the same. "You don't suddenly see him wallowing and pining and tearing his hair out and howling 'Abbie!' at the moon. Because that's not really his manner," the actor stated. But he also said that he and actress Lyndie Greenwood discussed that Ichabod and her character Jenny will be more determined to succeed in his new mission because they will do it for Abbie.

The fourth season of "Sleepy Hollow" will premiere on Fox in 2017.
