Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2015 live stream (Preview): Watch Formula One online

The Singapore Grand Prix 2015 takes place on Sunday, and even before the race has begun it has already been the most surprising grand prix of the year so far. Today's F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2015 has a scheduled start time of 8 a.m. ET (1 p.m. BST) and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

Sunday's Singapore F1 Grand Prix will see Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel on pole position, and in a big shock not only did neither Mercedes make it onto the front row of the grid, but Lewis Hamilton is lagging back in fifth place, and teammate Nico Rosberg is even further back in sixth.

It marks the first time that Mercedes has failed to make the front of the grid in 15 months, and what was even more shocking was that the Mercedes were not even competing with Ferrari, with Vettel 0.543 seconds faster than even second placed Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull.

Vettel was ecstatic with the result, which marked the first time that Ferrari has claimed pole position since the 2012 German Grand Prix.

In third place on the grid will be Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, ahead of fourth placed Daniil Kvyat of Red Bull.

The astonishing turn around in fortunes for Ferrari comes after they made made significant changes to their car over recent weeks. An upgraded engine was introduced in the last Grand Prix in Italy, and they have continued to tweak various things with some new aerodynamic revisions.

What will be most concerning for Mercedes though is that they seem to have fallen back as much as their rivals have moved forwards, and this Grand Prix could signal a hugely different remainder of the season for Hamilton and Rosberg, as well as Ferrari drivers Vettel and Raikkonen.

Hamilton though does have an enormous 53 point lead in the drivers championship table coming into the Singapore Grand Prix, and that means there is little chance of any rival being able to catch him through the rest of the season, but there will be more long term concerns for Mercedes, and they will want to make changes in the coming weeks to try and gain back their long-held advantage.

Meanwhile, Hamilton has said: "I enjoyed qualifying. The laps weren't perfect. I was on the knife edge trying to close the gap. The problem this weekend is the tires are just not working for us. We can't get it into the window and we are sliding around all over the place."

He added, "We have been trying to understand. We do have the quickest car but for some reason the tires were not switching on and it is apparent on both cars. We have never seen it before."

Vettel expressed surprise himself at how well things went in qualifying, saying: "It was looking pretty good from this morning and the car was fantastic to drive. It just got better through qualifying. I am surprised by the margin but it all came together and I nearly had a perfect lap in the end. I was very, very happy with the laps, especially the last one."
