Microsoft has astounded players time and time again with its Xbox One Backwards Compatibility initiative as some of the greatest games from Xbox 360 are being made available for the newer version of the console. One of the most anticipated titles among them is the horror action game "Silent Hill: Downpour," as well as "Puzzle Quest."

According to Game Rant, Microsoft has done a good job in bringing in as many Xbox 360 games as it can to its new console, and there are now roughly around 300 of them that can now be played on the Xbox One console.

However, the most solid choice among these games has just been added, and right on time for Halloween: the "Silent Hill: Downpour" game.

As fans can remember, the game follows the story of Murphy Pendelton, who seems to be bereft of luck as his prison transport vehicle gets wrecked in the midst of the twisted town of Silent Hill. Like its predecessors and subsequent successors, the players need to know the town's "real" form, as well as the alternate dimension inside it, which entails more risks and dangerous enemies.

While it does have the feel of the original "Silent Hill" game, "Downpour" has some unique defining traits that make it all the more unique. After all, it has a changing weather system and it had some side quests, but regardless of its immersive capabilities, the game is held back by some technical issues that held it back from its true potential.

With the game confirmed as one of the games receiving Backwards Compatibility, Ecumenical News reports that the game will show up in the Xbox One game library if the user has purchased a copy of the Xbox 360 version of the game. If not, it can be downloaded using the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility store located within the Xbox Store.
