The contemporary twist to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock" has just ended its third season, and fans are now looking forward to the fourth season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, writer and show creator Steven Moffat pledged to make the fourth season better than the third. He said in his interview that, "We have a plan to top [season 3]. And I do think our plan is devastating. We've practically reduced our cast to tears telling them the plan ... we're probably more excited that we've ever been about Sherlock."

More spoilers are popping out for "Sherlock," and some indicate that Janine Hawkins will be returning in the next and upcoming season.

It was also confirmed by the writer and creator that Yasmine Akram will be returning to the "Sherlock" cast line-up to reprise her role as Janine, the estranged love interest of Sherlock Holmes.

"He'll see her again. They'll be pals. I loved Yasmine's performance as Janine -- she still likes him in the end. At some point, you know, if Sherlock Holmes has to go to a function and he needs a date, he'll phone her up," Moffat said in an interview with IGN.

Hawkins first met Holmes at the Watsons' wedding in "The Sign of Three," where she was the maid of honor and Holmes was the best man. During the wedding, Hawkins hints to Holmes that they should make love to hold true to tradition as being maid of honour and best man.

Holmes learns that Hawkins is the assistant of Charles Augustus Magnussen, a business magnate whom Holmes was investigating, and uses Hawkins to get to him. Holmes goes as far at to propose to Hawkins.

The return of Janine was further confirmed by her appearance in the latest release, the Christmas special titled "The Abominable Bride."
