Dr. Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) has some serious thinking to do with regards to his love life in the upcoming episode of USA Network's series "Royal Pains."

In "Lending a Shoulder," Cartermatt reports that the "concierge doctor" will run into his ex-fiancé Nikki and will have "a startling revelation." It appears that Hank still has feelings for the woman who has not been a factor in the show since the beginning.

Meanwhile, Dr. Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and wife Paige (Brooke D'Orsay) are getting closer to adoption, as they help Elan (Dominique Fishback) through her labor. The website reveals that they will also learn their first tough lesson about being parents. As for Divya (Reshma Shetty), she will be experiencing "a devastating loss" in episode 8. After her romantic plans fell through, she is now envisioning a new future with her career and family as her priorities.

"Royal Pains" have already been renewed for season 8, so fans still have at least eight more episodes to see Hank and the gang after the current season ends. However, it appears that the eighth installment will be the last for the long-running medical drama.

Showrunner Michael Rauch expressed his thoughts regarding the show's conclusion. He said that they were already planning for a proper ending for "Royal Pains," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Rauch also hinted that something good is bound to happen to Hank and his search for love in the season 8 finale.

"It's a big part. Divya has Sashi, and Evan has Paige. We'll be having some fun with Jeremiah, Boris has Marissa and Carlos, and Hank is the person who has everyone, and yet at the same time, no one in his life is as fulfilling as the partners the other characters have."

"Royal Pains" airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
