Ronda Rousey next fight news: Amanda Nunes next opponent after Miesha Tate victory?

After a big win at UFC 200, Amanda Nunes snagged the bantamweight championship belt from Miesha Tate. If she remains the champion when Ronda Rousey returns, fans can reportedly expect a brawl between the two.

At the post-event show for UFC 200, UFC president Dana White once again spoke about Rowdy's comeback plans.

"Yeah, Ronda's going to make that decision. Hopefully – I would like to see her fight this year, but it could be early next year too," White said. "Whoever the champion is at the time is who Ronda would fight," he went on to say.

Nunes is the third fighter to be in possession of the bantamweight title in just a span of eight months since Rousey, who managed to defend it for six consecutive years until last year, lost to Holly Holm last year.

"I'm the champion now," Nunes said via MMA Junkie. "Whatever Dana White puts it front of me, I'm going to take it," she went on to say. However, she'd prefer that she relax and go to her hometown in Brazil for now.

At the moment, though, it is unclear if Rousey will be back in time to fight Nunes. White said that if a fight with Rowdy does not come to pass, he is eyeing Holm or Julianna Pena.

However, fans will remember that even before Nunes won the title, she has already been open to being Rousey's first opponent when she finally returns to the octagon.

Tate has also been speaking up about fighting Rousey prior to her loss to Nunes, and unless she earns the title before Rowdy returns, a match between them might not take place in a while.

There's no specific information on when exactly Rowdy will make her much-awaited comeback. Her camp has been silent on the matter, but everyone is hoping that she will be back later this year.

Rousey has been training hard following her first loss and should be hungry for redemption when she steps back into the octagon.
