'Rick and Morty' season 2 plot spoilers: 'Rixty Minutes' sequel to happen

"Rick and Morty" Adult Swim

The second season of "Rick and Morty" has once again been received well and the next episode, which will air next week, is said to be a sequel of season one's worst episode, "Rixty Minutes," according to reports.

The animated adult comedy had featured several bad jokes but after season 2 aired, viewers agreed that the joke made about rapper Ice T was the worst of them all.

iDigitalTimes reported that "Rick and Morty" described the rapper as a someone belonging to the alien race that got kicked out from his world but returns home to be a hero to his nation.

He is then able to transform into his previous version — Water T. The report also went on that more of such nonsense will be expected out of the upcoming season 8, which will have the title "Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate."

According to speculations, the eighth episode will be a sequel to the episode entitled "Rixty Minutes" from the previous season; but it will be given a new spin.

Meanwhile, season 2 has also been surrounded by other speculations; one is that season 2 could feature a dark twist to its plot as the show progresses, as noted in a Master Herald report.

The twist could leave viewers wanting more after finishing the last episode. However, it remains to be seen which of the coming episodes will have the twist in it.

Master Herald also reported that Rick might try to kill himself somewhere along the way since the show has given hints that the character is considering doing so.

Previous episodes of the show have explored Rick's suicidal tendencies, but this personality has never been tackled in a direct way just yet.

The show is yet to pack more humor and of course, surprises as it progresses. In the meantime, people should look forward to the said "sequel" this coming Sunday, when episode 8 of "Rick and Morty" season 2 returns at 11:30 p.m. EST on Adult Swim.
