Rich Piana cause of death news: Report reveals bodybuilder snorted pre-workout supplement like cocaine

More information has been released about the cause of death of famous bodybuilder Rich Piana. After two weeks being in a coma, Piana passed away on Aug. 25 at the age of 45.

TMZ Sports got hold of a death report providing details on the possible cause of Piana's death. According to the publication, the report indicated that Piana would snort pre-workout supplement like it was cocaine. The powder Piana was using was called Con-Cret Pre Workout, according to his girlfriend Chanel Jensen.

TMZ also reported that police recovered an amount of the workout supplement at the apartment where Piana suffered a medical emergency. Two weeks before his death, Piana suddenly collapsed while spending time with his girlfriend at their apartment.

Medical reports have suggested that Piana's cause of death was heart disease. However, the autopsy was said to be inconclusive.

Piana was born on Sept. 26, 1971. His death was only a month away from his 46th birthday. The late bodybuilder won several awards from various events hosted by the National Physique Committee. However, Piana also admitted that he used Anabolic Steroids to keep his muscular physique.

The bodybuilder won competitions like NPC California Championships, NPC Border States Classics, NPC Orange County Championships and NPC Los Angeles Championships. He was also known for his 5% campaign and 5% Nutrition platform.

Piana also released vlogs on YouTube which focused on workouts and supplement guidelines. The Williams Fitness YouTube channel released a montage video showcasing Piana's final workout.

Piana and Jensen also have a wide social media presence, especially on Instagram. A few weeks after his death, Jensen posted a heartfelt message on Instagram about Piana. Jensen wrote, "Rich would want myself and all 5%ers to be happy we had the honor of knowing this great man and ever being a part of his life at all."

Many people in the bodybuilding industry recognize Piana as one of the best bodybuilders in America.
