Game developer and publisher Capcom has revealed the system requirements for "Resident Evil 7." The upcoming game is scheduled to have a worldwide release on January 24, 2017.
The next game in the survival horror series is not a very demanding game. According to its Steam page, it will at least require an Intel Core i5-4460 with a 2.70GHz clock speed or its AMD equivalent, which is FX-6300. The graphics department will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x. The memory requirement is pegged at 8 GB, and the game will run starting from Windows 7 up to Windows 10 64-bit.
The website added that: "1080P CPU/GPU at 30FPS Players will have to either lower texture or set streaming textures to OFF in order to optimize performance. Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change."
For gamers who want to have a better gaming experience with "Resident Evil 7," Capcom suggests a faster processor and a slightly higher video graphics card. The company recommends an Intel Core i7 3770 that has a clock speed of 3.4GHz, or its AMD counterpart, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X. Of course, faster rigs are always better for gaming.
The game is described as, "Fear and isolation seep through the walls of an abandoned southern farmhouse. '7' marks a new beginning for survival horror with the 'Isolated View' of the visceral new first-person perspective. Powered by the RE Engine, horror reaches incredible heights of immersion as players enter a terrifyingly new world of fear as they fight to survive."
Meanwhile, Gamespot reported that game fans could download an updated version of the game's demo, although it will still be exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Players can download it via the PlayStation Store, and playing it does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription any longer.
"Resident Evil 7" will be available on January 24, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
