'Raven's Home' news: Second season has already been confirmed, production will commence in November

Disney announced the second season of their newest television series "Raven's Home" only three months after its premiere. Cast and crew will begin production in November.

In a press release published by Disney, Executive Vice President for Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide Adam Bonnet said, "We are incredibly proud of our first season and the fact that Raven has returned home to Disney Channel in a very big way."

Bonnet also commended the entire cast and crew for their efforts. "The entire cast and crew have delivered a classic family sitcom that kids and families will be watching for many years to come," he added.

The show has received great reviews from fans and critics as they welcome a familiar face on Disney channel that has been dominated by new talents over the past few years. The chemistry of the entire cast has been commended with the addition of a talented young ensemble.

The storyline of the television series revolves around Raven, who is now a single-mom to her twins Booker (Isaac Ryan Brown) and Nia (Navia Robinson) living in Chicago, Illinois with her childhood best friend Chelsea Daniels (Anneliese van Der Pol) and her son Levi Grayson (Jason Maybaum). Raven is still a psychic and so is her son Booker.

There have been several suggestions from fans to bring back old characters to the new series. Other than Daniels, Devon Carter, Raven's long-interest in high school has also returned as Raven's ex-husband and the father of Booker and Nia. Supporters are, of course, asking for more returning roles like Eddie Thomas (Orlando Brown), Raven's other childhood best friend and, of course, the money-crazed Cory Baxter (Kyle Massey), Raven's little brother.

"That's So Raven" is one of the most successful shows of Disney channel and it ended on Nov. 10, 2007. The premiere date of "Raven's Home" is also the 10th year celebration of "That's So Raven's" ending in 2007. The first spin-off of the original was "Cory in the House," which centered on Cory and his teenage life living in the White House with the President of the United States.
