Many "Raibow Six Siege" fans are probably still busy conquering the latest DLC for the game, "Dust Line," which was released almost a month ago. While everybody's busy, game developer and publisher, Ubisoft, recently dropped patch 3.2, which brings in several tweaks and improvements to the game. Additionally, to entice additional players, the company has also released the game's "Starter Edition" at a very affordable price.
Patch 3.2 for the PC and video game consoles brings several game optimization and bug fixes for fans to enjoy the game more. These include:
- Operator Balancing – Blackbear's main weapon's auto-reload is now disabled when he is equipped with the shield.
- Reworked bullet tracers – Operators will now be given a first-person perspective when using tracers. This is an improvement from the third-person view employed previously.
- Character Positioning Fix
- Rappel Clipping Exploit Fixes
Some of the bug fixes included are for:
- Controller stuttering when slowly adjusting RS button
- Players not spawning properly during a game start period
- Animation not working properly for character Jäger when picking gadget behind a glass window
- 180-degree turn for characters picking up deployable gadgets behind windows
- LMG's crosshair not properly aligned during support mode
- Breach charges cannot be attached to damaged windows
There are several more included in the patch notes.
Ubisoft also launched its cheaper Starter Edition for the Windows PC, for US$15 and it is available until June 16 only. New players opting for the latest version will have two playable operators available immediately, and 600 for in-game credits. This can be used to unlock other characters or purchase gears and gadgets.
The announcement said, "PC players looking for an inexpensive way to jump into 'Rainbow Six Siege' no longer have to wait until the next free weekend to get their fix. Starting June 2, a special Starter Edition of the game will be available for $15/€15 on PC for a period of two weeks. The Starter Edition offers the full 'Rainbow Six Siege' experience, with all maps and Operators available, but unlocking new Operators works a little differently."
The Starter Edition also offers the same options for regular game owners, which include maps, weapons, modes and many more. The only difference is the amount of "renown" to spend on other operators, and one needs to gain 12,500 instead of 500 to 2,000 for the Standard Edition.
"Rainbow Six Siege" is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
