"Rainbow Six Siege" now has its newest DLC revealed, called the "Operation Skull Rain," which features a Brazilian favela map along with two new operators from Brazil.
According to the PC Gamer, setting the game in a favela map is mainly because of the fact that these settlements are often not well-built. As such, with environmental destruction being one of the "Rainbow Six Siege" game's biggest features, a combination of these two factors will result to the "most destructible map" the game has to offer up to date.
The new operators for the Skull Rain DLC will come from Brazil's Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE), and each of these will specialize in either offensive or defensive skills.
The defensive operator will be Caveira, who is armed with either an M12 or an SPAS-15 as her primary weapon, which makes her a good choice when it comes to close range skirmishes. Defesive operations will be made easier with her around, since she also has a nitro cell or a barbed wire to fortify positions. As for her unique skills, she has the Silent Step ability, allowing her to sneak up and neutralize an opponent with ease. Additionally, she can also interrogate opponents into divulging enemy position once she immobilizes them.
Capitão will be the offensive operator, armed with a tactical crossbow that shoots asphyxiating bolts as well as micro smoke grenades that helps conceal his teammates' movements. He is also armed with either an M249 or PARA-308 as a primary weapon and a PRB92 as his secondary weapon.
"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Skull Rain" DLC will be launched on Aug. 2 for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. According to the Gospel Herald, "Rainbow Six Siege" will receive four expansions to be released three months apart. This DLC, along with its previous and future expansions are free and will feature new maps, Operators, and game mode.
