'Power' season 3 news: new season to 'be even better'

 Starz

50 Cent and the gang are back to work on "Power" season 3. Together with the rapper, Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Olurotimi Akinosho, Michael Rainey Jr. and Donshea Hopkins were all there for the first table read, with the official Facebook page of the show confirming that the upcoming season is in the works.

The group posed and beamed for a photo, which 50 Cent posted on his Instagram account. In the caption, he promised that the new season "will be even better. We are turning it up a notch."

Executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh also described how the heads reacted after laying out their plans for the new season.

"I just pitched the Season 3 arc to the heads of PR and Marketing and their teams," Kemp Agboh shared to Madame Niore in a recent interview. "Everyone was on the edge of their seats like 'Oh, my God! No Way!"

The EP added that none of them could believe what she is planning to do in "Power" season 3 and were blown away. Agboh explained that they are the just some of the few people who know how tough things are going to get in the upcoming season of the hit Starz series but she said that "they're pretty excited." It looks like fans of the series will feel the same way.

As far as plot spoilers go, The Young, Black and Fabulous, which first reported of the cast and crew's table read, claims that viewers will see Rotimi developing into Ghost's trusty right-hand man. The site's claim that Rotimi will have more time in spotlight is because he was already there for the first table read.

"Power" season 3 is expected to premiere in June next year.
