Nintendo might be gearing up for the release of "Pokémon GO" next month, if speculations turn out to be true.

Reports claim that the field testing for the soon-to-be-released augmented-reality mobile game will end on June 30 in the U.S. or July 1 in Japanese time. This means that the beta app that was released for the testing period will no longer function on the said dates. Because of this, speculations are rife regarding the possible release date of "Pokémon GO" in July.

An email received by those who signed up for the beta testing said the testing will cease at the end of the month, according to My Nintendo News.

"We've had an incredible time field testing Pokémon GO with all of you. Your battles were epic, your wild Pokémon encounters were fun, and your feedback helped lay the groundwork for a very unique game," the statement reads. "On June 30th, we'll shut down the Pokémon GO field test. Your app will not be playable any more and we'll delete all gameplay data to prepare for the official launch. Stay tuned to our social channels for more information."

While waiting for the release date of "Pokémon GO," players can begin pre-ordering the game's optional companion device called the Pokémon GO Plus in major retailers such as Amazon and GameStop.

The Pokémon GO Plus is a wearable wrist device that can be connected with any smartphone using Bluetooth. It could allow people to get notifications when a Pokémon is nearby and catch them without having to check their iOS or Android phones. This device can be purchased for $34.99.
