A new major update for Blizzard Entertainment's "Heroes of the Storm" has just been rolled out and along with it comes exciting news that the next hero joining the roster soon is the popular mech-riding "Overwatch" character, D.Va.

In the new trailer released for the game, she is seen fighting Diablo alongside Genji, another "Overwatch" character, who has also been recently added to the "Heroes of the Storm" lineup. It is unclear at this point as to when D.Va will become playable in the game, but it is likely to be very soon.

The "Heroes of the Storm" 2.0 update offers more than just new characters, though. The Hanamura map has also been made available, as seen in the trailer, and Digital Trends reports that the game's cosmetic items are now found in the "Overwatch"-inspired loot boxes instead of being purchased in-game with real money. With the new update, players will now get a loot chest each time they are able to level up a character, but what is even better is that the amount of play required to level up has also been decreased.

In other news, Blizzard Entertainment is holding another event for "Heroes of the Storm" called Nexus Challenge 2.0, which will reward "Overwatch" players with a new Korean police–inspired skin for D.Va, as well as a number of icons and sprays based on the character, if they play "Heroes of the Storm" with friends.

Nexus Challenge 2.0 will run for four weeks, and players are required to play at least five games each week with a friend to earn the exclusive rewards and loots. Each week will have different rewards. In the first week, it is said to give "Overwatch" players another opportunity to cop the Oni Genju skin, which was made available only during the first Nexus Challenge back in November last year. The two following weeks will give players D.Va-related rewards, while in the last week players will receive 10 loot chests for both games.

"Heroes of the Storm" is available for Mac and Windows PC.
