Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) Fraser are slowly warming up to their new life in Paris, but things will not be that easy in the next episode of "Outlander" season 2.

In the promo photos for the episode titled "Not in Scotland Anymore," Jamie is seen getting cozy with another woman during a lavish party. Those who have read the book written by Diana Gabaldon know that the woman is Annalise de Marillac, who Jamie had an affair with when he first landed in France. The character will be portrayed by French actress Margaux Chatelier.

However, Annalise's debut in the series does not mean that she will cause trouble in Jamie and Claire's marriage. According to Balfe, Claire and Annalise could actually become friends.

"Initially, there may [be] some surprise or interest from Claire of this beautiful young woman who seems to know a lot about Jamie and seems to have a feeling that she has an innate understanding of him," Balfe said in an interview with TVLine. But she added that the two women will "actually end up getting along quite well."

Claire is also expected to earn more friends in Paris in the second episode of "Outlander" season 2, including the local apothecary named Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon), the rich French socialite Louise de la Tour (Claire Sermonne), and Mary Hawkins (Rosie Day).

This is also the episode where Jamie will meet Prince Charles (Andrew Gower). This will give him the opportunity to be included in the prince's tight circle of supporters.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"Life in Paris is not without its trials as Jamie struggles to triumph over the traumas of his past. A fortunate meeting with Jacobite leader Prince Charles presents opportunities, while the Duke of Sandringham's presence brings complications."

"Outlander" season 2 episode 2 airs Saturday, April 16, on Starz.
