Britt Nilsson may have been voted off "The Bachelorette" during the show's first episode this year, but it appears that everything ended well for her as she is now reportedly dating former contestant Brady Troops.
Nilsson was eliminated from the hit ABC show when majority of the suitors voted for Kaitlyn Bristowe. Nilsson was shocked and devastated upon learning from host Chris Harrison that she won't be season 11's Bachelorette, but apparently, she's not the only one who was saddened by the results.
During the first rose ceremony, Troops, a singer-songwriter from Nashville, eliminated himself from the competition, telling Bristowe that he wanted to pursue Nilsson. The episode ended with Troops knocking on Nilsson's hotel room door.
According to sources from Us Weekly, the two hit it off and are still dating to this day.
"Brady and Britt are still together," said the insider to the website. "They're very happy."
The source added that the pair recently attended a Nashville Predators game together.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Nilsson admitted that she was disappointed that she wasn't chosen as the new Bachelorette and was very surprised when Troops talked to her.
"Did he find you?" Kimmel asked the model and aspiring actress.
"Uh…I mean, yeah…in my hotel room, crying," she confessed.
Nilsson then went on to explain that Harrison had a hand in the events that took place right after the first rose ceremony.
"I guess Chris Harrison felt bad about letting me go, so, he gave Brady my [hotel room number]," she explained. "It is pretty smooth, it's very gentlemanly, I thought it was sweet … He comes to my door and I was very surprised. It will be on the show next week."
Prior to the season premiere of "The Bachelorette" earlier this week, the show received backlash over ABC's decision to have two ladies competing for the affections of 25 men. Former "Bachelor" Sean Lowe blasted the move, saying in his blog that "it transfers the power back to the men on the show specifically for women." After the premiere aired, Lowe reiterated his point and said on his Patheos blog that neither Bristowe nor Nilsson seemed confident because it seemed that they were pitching themselves to the men "as if they were running for student body president."
'The Bachelorette' airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
