Fans of the manga series "One Piece" are sharing their speculations on what will transpire in the upcoming chapters. In the most recent chapter, Monkey D. Luffy is making progress as he clashes against Charlotte Katakuri of the Big Mom Pirates.

In chapter 883, Luffy relied on his inhuman consumption as he chows down Katakuri's mochi-mochi fruit. This technique is nothing new since he also used it during his fight against Katakuri's younger brother, Cracker. Previous fan theories of Luffy revealing his fifth gear were proven wrong. In chapter 884, Luffy managed to discover the weakness of Katakuri's Observation Haku. After suffering a barrage of fourth gear attacks, Katakuri once again retaliated with his mochi-mochi fruit.

Many fans had ruled out the fifth gear theory and are now discussing new angles on how Luffy can defeat Katakuri. Fans are still discussing Katakuri's key weakness and not just his Haki. Some theories indicate that Katakuri's Observation Haki does not take effect when he is on the offensive.

In some forum discussions, fans indicate that they are hoping for a flashback chapter for Katakuri that highlights his childhood and how he got his mochi-mochi power. Some fans are urging the writers to include a character to help Luffy defeat Katakuri since the captain of the Straw Hats has been singlehandedly dealing with members of the Big Mom Pirates.

Fans are also hoping for an update about the destruction of the Revolutionary Army's headquarters in Baltigo. The last reference about the headquarters was included in chapter 823, revealing that the Blackbeard Pirates attacked and destroyed the base of the revolution led by Luffy's father, Monkey D. Dragon.

Some suggestions include the return of Luffy's biggest fan and member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, Bartolomeo the Cannibal. The release date of chapter 884 is still uncertain with "One Piece's" manga artist Eiichiro Oda expected to take a break.
