"No Man's Sky" is an upcoming game from Hello Games and it features a massive game play area -- more than 18 quintillion planets to explore. It is set to be released on June 21 in North America and it seems to be right on track, especially now that the micro-transactions are finally working.

Sean Murray, the game's managing director, announced on his Twitter page that the game's micro-transaction is finally working after long work on its coding. This means that gamers will be able to purchase in-game items, probably an upgraded suit, survival kits, or a bigger engine for the player's ship.

Immediately, game fans started replying to Murray's tweet, and a few were surprised and disappointed that there will be in-game purchases. However, many also noticed that it was an April Fool's Day joke. Kotaku even reported it as one of the best, with several others.

On a more serious note, Polygon got to spend a few minutes on "No Man's Sky" on a PlayStation 4 build and also got a chance to sit down with Murray, who explained the four pillars of the game – exploration, survival, combat and trading.

"Players can go fully down one of those rabbit holes, one of those roots, so they can be entirely an explorer, if they really want to be. [...] They can be a survivalist; they can hang out on just one planet and try and see how long they can survive," Murray said. "But Hello Games expects that most players will mix it up rather than focus all their attention on one aspect of the game."

Murray also showed that a grenade launcher can be used to carve out a cave-like hole on the ground and be able to survive a really hot planet. The space suit has already been damaged by the heat, but because of the cave, the game director was able to survive and explore more of the planet.

Players need to explore and mine whatever there is on a particular planet in order to last long in the game.

"No Man's Sky" will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on June 21 in North America, June 22 in Europe, while U.K. will be receiving it on June 24.
