Nintendo NX release date rumors: Release date still kept under wraps; NX needs more third party support or it will be doomed

Gamers around the world wonder if the Nintendo NX will ever be launched. The company has also been very quiet with regard to providing official statements.

Meanwhile, gaming experts have already expressed their doubts about it since it lacks third party support.

Michael Pachter of the Wedbush Securities warned that the NX will be doomed even before Nintendo releases it, according to Nintendo Insider. He stated that a third party support is far more important than the price of the product, the news outlet gathered.

The outspoken critic is never shy of providing negative observation about the new gaming console.

"That's much, much more important than the price. If they get third-party support, if they make it in such a way that everyone can port every game over and the incremental cost to make if for Xbox One, PS4 and NX is $1-2 million, every game will be there," he said in the report.

He believes that if Nintendo's NX will get the same third party support that Wii U got in the past, it is never going to meet success in the market.

The success of gaming consoles such as Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox depended on the huge third party support they got from different gaming companies, and if Nintendo will not get the same amount of back-up from various companies, they will end up like Wii U in the market, cautioned Pachter.

Nevertheless, there are also experts who argue that it will not be the case for NX. Design & Trend reported that NX has impressive specs and design that will give its competitors a run for their money. The news portal also added that the Nintendos NX will be much more superior in terms of speed and power compared to Sony and Microsoft.

Although there is no official statement from Nintendo yet, there are speculations that the NX will be released sometime in 2016.
