It looks like "NieR: Automata" is getting a little crossover with "Final Fantasy XV."
In just a few days, videogame developer and publisher Square Enix will finally be releasing "Final Fantasy XV," and according to a report by Forbes, to celebrate the game's debut, the company will be sending in a few content from the fantasy game to "NeiR: Automata," one of their other upcoming role-playing videogames.
Apparently, Square Enix will be giving the same engine blade that Noctis uses in "Final Fantasy XV" to the character YoRHA No.2 Type B in "NieR: Automata." Integrated with what seems to be a motorcycle engine, the "Final Fantasy XV" weapon is just one of the many weapons that Noctis can wield with its blade possessing its very own special evasion ability. Making its way to "NieR: Automata," it looks like the blade's special features will be carried on to the role-playing game as well.
Though it looks like Square Enix has just provided a pretty small crossover between "Final Fantasy XV" and "NieR: Automata," some have interpreted Square Enix's decision to bring the engine blade to the upcoming role-playing game as a way to promote both videogames and bring "NieR: Automata" more attention. With "Final Fantasy XV" releasing tomorrow, Nov. 29 and "NieR: Automata" waiting for its Japanese release on Feb. 23, 2017, it seems like a pretty tactical move for Square Enix to use a crossover to promote both games.
In other "NieR: Automata" news, Gematsu reports that Japanese site Famitsu has just provided a new preview for the game showing the lush vegetation of its forest area and the intricacies of its castles. Not only that, but in the preview provided, gamers will get to see some cutesy Machine life-forms that appear somewhere in the middle of the woodlands. Wearing medieval-looking armor, the life-forms look both cute and unique.
