New York Rangers vs Washington Capitals live stream: Watch Stanley Cup Playoffs 2015 Game 7 online (Preview)

The New York Rangers will play the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night in a winner takes all Game 7 in their NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs 2015 series.

The momentum is with the Rangers, and they also have home ice advantage for tonight's decisive game, however, in one game anything can happen, and one thing's for sure - both teams will be leaving everything out there on the ice tonight.

Today's massive Game 7 match up between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals will start at 7.30 p.m. ET and takes place from Madison Square Garden in New York. The game will be broadcast live on TV on the NBC Sports network, but can also be watched online through live stream via the link provided below.

After six games between these two teams it all comes down to this. After another defeat for the Rangers in Game 4 it looked like they were on their way out.

However, they have stormed back into the series, claiming Games 5 and 6 to tie up the series at 3-3, and allowing them to play this winner takes all game in front of their home fans in Madison Square Garden.

It is a massive feat to come back from being 1-3 down in a best of seven series, however, that is exactly what the Rangers did last season on their way to the NHL Stanley Cup Final.

If they can repeat that feat here against the Washington Capitals they will be making history as the first team ever to win comeback from being 1-3 down in a best of seven series two years in a row.

Last year it was the Pittsburgh Penguins who suffered heartache when the Rangers pulled off that extraordinary comeback, and this year the Capitals could experience the same despair unless they can claim a road win and put a halt to the momentum New York have picked up by winning Games 5 and 6.

On Sunday, the Rangers won a dramatic game 4-3 in Game 6, and that built on the 2-1 overtime win they claimed in Game 5 last Friday.

Right Wing Martin St Louis has said, "We've done a great amount of work here these last two games, but now we've gotta back up those two wins. That's what we're looking to do."

Indeed, it will be the Rangers left heartbroken if they fall short tonight. After fighting so hard to come back to 3-3, it ultimately would all have been for nothing if they cannot claim a third straight win here tonight.

The Rangers have an excellent recent history when it comes to winner takes all contests. They have won five straight Game 7's coming into this match up, which is just one short of the league record held by the Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Bruins.

The Capitals oppositely have had a torrid time trying to put away teams. They have lost 10 of their last 13 games when they have had the chance to win to close out a series.

Tonight's big Game 7 between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals will start at 7.30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC Sports network, or online through live stream by clicking here.
