Things have gone smoothly for the latest Marvel flick on Netflix, "Jessica Jones," and now talk is on the upcoming "Iron Fist."

It was previously rumored that "Iron Fist" will not be turned into a Netflix series, but rather a movie adaptation on the streaming service. However, Joe Quesada, chief creative officer for Marvel, talked to IGN last Wednesday about the development for "Iron Fist."

"'Iron Fist' is being worked on, that's all I can say," Quesada confirmed in the interview. When he was asked if there were truth to the rumors about the character's TV movie adaptation, Quesada only brushed them off saying, "Where did you read these rumors? Oh, they were on the internet? So they must be true!"

The rumors came from undisclosed sources, according to Peel the Orange. The news outlet reported that a source who's associated with Marvel Creative revealed that "Iron Fist" will become a feature film for Netflix. This would mean that Marvel would need more time and budget to accomplish this project.

The rumor went on to say that in place of "Iron Fist" will be "Punisher," who is said to become one of the members of "Defenders."

"Iron Fist" has been surrounded with speculations ever since it was announced a couple of years ago, Comic Book Resources reported. However, Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, told the news outlet that there were no changes of plans.

Loeb also assured fans that soon, there will be news on who will step up as the series' showrunner and who will play the titular character.

Comic Book Resources also reported that Loeb revealed why "Iron Fist" has not been talked about so much. He said he wanted "Jessica Jones," which debuted on Netflix last Friday, to have all the attention considering she's unfamiliar to many audiences.

There's no news about the release date for "Iron Fist" yet, but all that's known about it is that it's in the works. More updates about the show are expected to pop-up soon.
