"NCIS" season 14 is now slated for release alongside the new show "Bull" as well as "NCIS: New Orleans."

CBS has announced its fall calendar of show premieres on its website, with the NCIS team and Jethro Gibbs returning on Sept. 20 at 8p.m. EST. After this show, the new series "Bull" is next, starring the former "NCIS" star Michael Weatherly. "NCIS: New Orleans," on the other hand, will be shown at 10 p.m.

With this, fans are excited about the events after Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly's character) bids his goodbye to the NCIS team. This happens in the aftermath of Ziva David's (Cote de Pablo) unfortunate demise. However, the main reason isn't the death itself, but DiNozzo and David's daughter Tali.

However, with DiNozzo's exit comes a new character for season 14. The name isn't given just yet, but his role is that of a field agent who was part of a deep cover assignment that has been going on for several years. His involvement in this covert assignment is so deep that a lot of his previous colleagues didn't know that he was still working for the NCIS or that he was still even alive. This character will be played by Wilmer Valderrama, who formerly starred in iconic TV series such as "That '70s Show" and "Grey's Anatomy."

The reason for this casting, according to executive producer Gary Glasberg via the Hall of Fame Magazine, is that he deems this role to be a challenge for Valderrama, as it will put his comedic and drama skills to test. After all, the character he will play is an unpredictable yet charismatic loose cannon due to his dedication to his country. Furthermore, this role will also test his physical skills.

Other than Valderrama, Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry will be joining season 14 as FBI Agent Tess Monroe and MI6 Agent Clayton Reeves, respectively.
