Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) road to recovery continues as the entire NCIS team in LA deals with a new case in the next episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8.

In the upcoming episode, titled "Parallel Resistors," a graduate student who is working on a new electromagnetic weapon that the Navy will use had been attacked. This will require the team to investigate the case to help determine the perpetrator.

The synopsis of the episode also revealed that the attacker of the graduate student has something to do with a bigger case since it will have a connection with the international warfare.

On the other hand, Kensi will continue undergoing a strenuous therapy to treat her spinal cord injury after she woke up from a coma. In one of the previous episodes, Kensi was shocked when she realized that she cannot feel her left hand anymore. But it seems like her new sessions will be extra painful and more difficult to deal with this time.

In an interview with TV Guide in October, Eric Christian Olsen talked about the repercussion of Kensi's condition in the relationship between her and his character Deeks. "I think this is going to serve as another great obstacle that either turns into a foundation for betterment of the relationship, one of these things that they use as just another rock to build this foundation ... or an obstacle which becomes a roadblock," the actor said.

The full synopsis for the upcoming episode had been released by The Futon Critic, which reads: "After a graduate student developing an electromagnetic weapon for the Navy is attacked, the NCIS team discovers a connection to international warfare. Also, Kensi continues grueling physical therapy for her spinal injury."

The next episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 will be aired on CBS on Sunday, Nov. 13.
