The sophomore season of "Narcos" is about to begin this week, but details about the biographical drama series continue to come out online.

In an interview with Rotten Tomato, producer Eric Newman and lead star Wagner Moura teased what fans should look forward to when Netflix drops the episodes of "Narcos" for season 2.

According to Moura, the second season of "Narcos" will be more dramatic compared to the first since it will concentrate on the year before the infamous Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar died.

"We have the voiceover, the real footage. We still have the same thing. It's the same style in the second one, but the second one, given the fact that it covers only one year of Pablo's life, it's very focused on Pablo on the run. So it's more dramatic than epic," the actor who portrays the character said.

Moura also teased that fans will finally see how the powerful leader of the Colombian drug cartel will break down after he had to lose his powers when he had to go into hiding from the DEA and the Colombian police.

Newman, on the other hand, teased that season 2 will feature less voiceover narration compared to the first one.

"The first season was a lot of information, a lot of setup," Newman also said. "We need to tell you about this world. Now that we're in the world, we can spend more time with the people in the world and the characters. So I would say that season two is more character driven. Less voiceover, I hope."

Moura also revealed that he had an emotional experience filming Escobar's death scene in the same area where the real-life Escobar was shot to death.

"So of course the scene where Pablo gets killed was really emotional for me because I was saying goodbye to him," Moura said"

"Narcos" season 2 is expected to be released by Netflix on Friday, Sept. 2.
