Series creator Sam Esmail exclusively hinted how Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) reacted on the result of the US presidential election through the leaked script for "Mr. Robot" season 3.

In the script that was posted on Esmail's Twitter page, Elliot is having another session with his psychologist Krista Gordon (Gloria Reuben). The therapist will ask him again about what makes him disappointed in the society. But unlike before, Elliot will have a solid answer for her this time.

"Oh, that's easy. Donald Trump was just elected as President of the United States," Elliot said in the script.

While this could just be Esmail's creative way of expressing his own disappointment about the real-life current events because he was very vocal about his support for Hillary Clinton, it is not impossible for him to incorporate real situations in the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama. In the first season of the series, the events of "Mr. Robot" mirrored the infamous Sony Hack incident.

The series creator also told Deadline in an interview back in September that the third season of "Mr. Robot" will be inspired by Trump's rise to the Oval Office. "The sentiment and the outrage and the support of Donald Trump; the groundswell by which he rose to become the Republican nominee, that sort of atmosphere is going to be used in the Mr. Robot universe and amplified by this great economic collapse which is happening like a slow car accident. What you're seeing is the events that stoked those (Trump-like) sentiments," Esmail stated.

He also mentioned that Elliot will be more determined to break away from the figment of his imagination, Mr. Robot (Christian Slater), when the series returns next season.

USA Network is expected to reveal the official release date of "Mr. Robot" season 3 before it comes out sometime in 2017.
