Moto X Style release date in India on Oct 8?

 Flipkart

While Motorola has always teased that the new Moto X Style will be made available in India sometime soon, the tech firm hasn't been keen on revealing an actual release date. But a new image from Flipkart, the largest online retailer based in India, sealed a date – Oct. 8, which is tomorrow.

The image teases users to get ready to party "in 15 minutes flat" tomorrow. It is unclear, though, if the said date will only see the unveiling of the device or if it will made available right there and then, too. What's clear though is that fans will get to witness how "Beautility lies in being free."

Moto X Play is already available in the country but the high-end counterpart introduced with it, the Moto X Style, is apparently just close to getting there. The phablet-level smartphone has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, which generates a clear and sharp 520-ppi pixel density.

The Moto X Style comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. Users can choose from three storage options available. The standard is at 16 GB. There are also a 32-GB model and a 64-GB variant. All units will have 3 GB of RAM.

The smartphone also comes with a hefty 21-MP rear-facing shooter with dual-LED and high-definition video recording. The shooter on the front is at 5 MP, which has LED flash as well. It has Android 5.1.1. Lollipop pre-installed but it can be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow when the newer software is made available.

Moto X Style has a 3000-mAh battery, which can juice up fully in less than an hour, thanks to its Quick Charging support. It also has a water-repellent nano-coating that prevents water from seeping through to the innards of the handset.

Pricing is expected at INR 30,000 to INR 32,000, which converts to around $460 to $491 or €411 to €439.
