'Mortal Kombat XL' news: PC version to be released soon; Online beta now available via Steam

 NetherRealm Studios

The PC version of "Mortal Kombat XL" will be released for the PC, and NetherRealms Studios will open an online beta for Steam players to ensure that the game's issues will be rooted out before its final release.

According to Game Rant, the "Mortal Kombat XL" Enhanced Online Beta is now available for playing via Steam. It will be available until August 29 at 10 a.m. PDT. This game, as people can remember, was previously released for the Xbox One and PS4 consoles back in March, which includes all of its current DLC.

PC players, after all, were left out, with the NetherRealm Studios giving out a statement that "Mortal Kombat XL," as well as "Kombat Pack 2" DLC will not be released. To further compound the exclusion, no specific reason was given for the game's prior cancellation. Now that the game is being released for the PC, people can only speculate the possible reason as to the developer and publisher's sudden change of mind.

However, despite this, its exact release date is still unconfirmed. Despite this, it might be for the game's best interests, since "Mortal Kombat X," while a certainly delightful game for the console platforms, was considered to be quite problematic for the PC, since a lot of players are plagued with a lot of problems, with some of them reporting that the game cannot be played because of a streaming install error. It is even more compounded by the fact that the patches released to fix these problems just ended up deleting a lot of players' saved files.

With these problems, the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X" has received a mixed reception among its players. Should NetherRealm Studios decide to delay "Mortal Kombat XL" PC version's release, it might be to ensure that all known PC-related issues will be solved to ensure its popularity.
