'Mortal Kombat X': Sektor and Alien part of Kombat Pack 2 DLC update?

"Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC announcement NetherRealms Studios

NetherRealm Studios together with Warner Bros. officially announced that "Mortal Kombat X" will receive its second downloadable content (DLC) pack, the Kombat Pack 2, and creative director Ed Boon fueled fans' excitement with his latest teases on who among the many speculated characters will be featured.

In a previous report, Boon released a teaser for the upcoming DLC and it showed there were four playable characters. However, not much has been revealed about them, but recently, Boon may have unofficially revealed the upcoming fighters.

As reported in Design & Trend, the creative director hinted through images posted on Twitter that characters Alien and Sektor may be two of the DLC characters set to arrive to the game.

The posts appeared to be parody images from the movie "Straight Outta Compton" by Universal Pictures, and it showed Alien and Sektor in separate posters labeled "Straight Outta KP2."

According to the same report, KP2 could stand for Kombat Pack 2. However, Design & Trend noted that what's certain about Boon's tweets is that it's difficult to tell which ones are genuine from ones that are part of his jokes.

The only way fans can be sure if the teases are real or not is to wait for further announcement from the studios.

A huge list of names of characters fitted to be in Kombat Pack 2 should give NetherRealm a hard time picking the most appropriate ones for the game.

Meanwhile, ScreenRant also gave out its own version of guesses for the possible characters of the upcoming DLC.

The report went on to speculate that one of them is Baraka, based on the silhouette image provided in earlier reports, since the figure appeared like him.

It was also mentioned that DC's Joker could also be one of the upcoming characters.

"Mortal Kombat X" second DLC pack will be released in 2016, reports stated. The game is currently available in Xbox One, PC, PS4, and mobile devices.
