'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2 DLC rumors: More games and movie characters to release in 2016

A second set of characters for "Mortal Kombat X" will be coming out by the first half of 2016 through downloadable content (DLC), but it seems that the ones coming out will not solely be tied up with characters familiar to the fighting game franchise.

Looking at the list of characters from the first pack, lined up were Sonya, Tremor, Tanya, Predator, and Jason Voorhees. Now, if you know your "Mortal Kombat" history well, only Tanya was actually a character in the game. All the others appeared in the film.

Now, with that in mind, it could indicate that more game characters will comprise the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC. One of those could be Baraka, who actually appeared on story mode of the game, and maybe other characters such as Rain, Smoke, or even Cyrax.

Moreover, if there are new game characters in the mix, there is likely a chance that movie-based characters could be included as well.

Game creator Ed Boon gave a wild idea on Twitter, possibly hinting (or playing?) that Jurassic Park characters could be included in the pack. So, does this mean that dinosaurs could be coming out as well?

Regardless, the tweet somehow says it all and in a way, it does make sense.

Whatever the case may be, let's get the rumor mill flowing and see what other guys have to say about it, particularly the gamers.

For now, the coming of the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 is broadly stated as coming by the first half of 2016. Characters will be released one at a time and only valid for purchase for people signed up to the Kombat Pack 2 season pass, which costs around $29.99.

The season pass will also include four additional playable characters, special character skins and a new arena. For those who are not too thrilled about getting the whole pack, you can also purchase the characters separately and as they come out.
