Summer is just around the corner and gaming fans will surely be delighted with the new and awesome deal from Microsoft.

According to a recent release from Major Nelson, buying any Xbox One entitles the customer to a free Xbox One game of their choice. The promo started on June 21, Sunday and will run through June 27, Saturday.

Games that will come free with an Xbox One Purchase include Batman: Arkham Knight, which will be launched on Tuesday, June 23, among others. This promo will only be available in participating retail outlets in the U.S.

During the promo period, those who purchase an Xbox One, models of 500GB and 1TB, will get to pick a game for the console for free.

Since the launch of the Xbox One, a lot of fans have requested that the console offer more storage space, and Microsoft have obliged by introducing the new Xbox One 1TB.

According to a report from Gamespot, customers can also get an extra free game when they go for the different Xbox One bundles that include Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is included with the 1TB model, together with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, and offered at no extra cost, Major Nelson confirms.

Gamespot reports that the downside to the Microsoft deal is that it is not good for preorder games. Fans should also note that the free game will work for a disc-based title rather than a digital one.

Customers are advised to speak with their local retailer to know more about the promo specifics.

Xbox Wire reports that the 1TB consoles have been distributed to U.S. retailers since June 16 and more to follow later this month for selected markets, for a price of $399 USD.

It was also announced that all standard 500GB consoles will be sold for $349 USD.
