That is until the leaked photos showed up — the secret is no longer a secret. Images of the upcoming devices from Microsoft have been making the rounds online and it appears that both phones show promise and could be the company's salvation.

According to reports, the leak came from WPXAP forums where images of Lumia 950 and 950 XL were posted.

The images revealed that the devices will come with larger screens and improved features that will surely get phone users all excited.

As of the moment, no official announcement came from Windows about the launch of their new devices; but if the leaked photos prove to be true, gadget lovers should expect new improvements on Microsoft's new devices.

Microsoft is planning to apply changes to the images of their phones as it was shown that they have clearer screen displays and rounded corners.

It was also shown that the new phones will run on a Windows 10 Mobile operating system (OS), which only seems appropriate since the company recently launched the new OS.

Furthermore, Microsoft is likely to have their new phones equipped with gripped covers and better performing cameras.

According to a report from ExtremeTech, Lumia 950 is rumored to run on a Snapdragon 808 processor, and will have an internal storage capacity of 32GB, with 2GB RAM and 1080p display.

On the other hand, the 950 XL will reportedly run on a Snapdragon 810 processor and have a 1440p screen resolution. Some of its specs will also be improved.

iDigitalTimes reported that both Microsoft devices are expected to belong in the high-end category, but there are no details about the prices yet.

However, the leaked information also reportedly included that the upcoming devices will be released this November.
