"Mass Effect: Andromeda" game director Mac Walters was recently interviewed during the recently concluded New York Comic-Con 2016. Walters said that they want to surprise the fans with new things in their upcoming game.

GeekPr0n had the chance to ask Walters some questions about their upcoming game. Walters was asked about the things that players could be excited about their next offering. The director could not really say much without divulging too much information, but he still happily said that the creative team is working hard to surprise the fans.

He said" "Without getting into too many details before N7 day coming up, I think people should be excited about the same things we as developers are excited about. We wanted a fresh start, not just for story and game, but for ourselves. A lot of the magic of developing the first game was that we didn't have a background on Mass Effect yet."

Walters also added: "So, what can we do, that will surprise and delight the players? That's what I think people should look forward to – all the elements you'd want a Mass Effect game have, of course, they'll be there. But we try to have a forward-looking mindset and imagine new things."

The game director was also asked if there were any pressure coming from the mixed reactions gained by "Mass Effect 3's" ending. He said that it did not affect anything. The development team always takes into consideration what the fans are saying, and they will find ways to improve the game.

He is also a part of the writing team of the series and was at the NYCC event to promote their "Mass Effect Omnibus Volume 1." It is a comic collection of their Sci-Fi series that was published by Dark Horse Comics.

Speaking of Dark Horse Comics, it will also be publishing the official art book for the upcoming game called "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda." The Amazon listing shows that fans can have it for $35.63 and it will be officially released on March 21, 2017. It also stated that the book will be simultaneously released with the game.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is speculated to be released on March 21, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
