Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is reportedly getting a spin-off, something which should draw cheers from fans of the said series. While the rumored spinoff has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios, reports have it that it will be produced by executive producer Jeffrey Bell and writer Payl Zbyszewski.
For now, there is no telling how the rumored spinoff will debut. The same goes on whether who of the current stars appearing in the regular series would be appearing on the said spinoff so anyone's guess is as good as ours.
With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. still ongoing, it remains to be seen if there would be hints leading to the planned spinoff. The show is currently averaging close to 7.4 million viewers but has yet to be renewed for a third season. Despite that, this should not cause any alarm for now considering ABC announces renewals during May.
On when the said spinoff would occur has yet to be divulged as well. There is speculations that it could in the Fall or even midseason. The worst case scenario is seeing all these rumors stay as one hence resulting in something bogus, which hopefully will not.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and another show, Agent Carter have yet to be renewed for another season. Though the performance of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may be far (but erratic) compared to the ipact that Agent Carter had, chances of a renewal look better for Coulson and the team.
Agent Carter on the other hand has its own fan base to bank on although it remains to be seen if that would be enough to convince ABC to continue Peggy Carter's saga for another run.
Back to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, the guessing game is now on with regards to who would be appearing in the rumored spinoff. Could it be the breakaway group of Bobbi Morese (Adrianne Palicki) and Alphonso Mac Mackenzie (Henry Simmons)? How about Skye (Chloe Bennet) going out into her own? Ming-Na Wen could even possibly bolt and form her own team? How about Phil Coulson in another storyline?
