On Dec. 5, new downloadable content (DLC) will be released for the fighting game "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." Three new characters will be available for play: the assassin Winter Soldier, the mutant Venom, and the super spy Black Widow.

The three-character bundle will be included in the 2017 Character Pass which is priced at $29.99. For those who want to purchase them individually, these premium characters will be available for $7.99 each.

Detailed character profiles have already been released. Winter Soldier, also known as Bucky Barnes, is a soldier who served alongside Captain America during the Second World War. Formerly with the good guys, Barnes was captured by the enemy during a mission gone wrong. He was presumed dead for a time while he was actually being brainwashed to become a villainous assassin.

His specialty is the Metal Shield which, when activated, can enable Barnes to ignore most hits. The downside is that his moves will be limited when the ability is active.

Black Widow, also known as Natasha Romanova, is another skilled assassin. Romanova is an experienced super spy that uses her skills to fight against Ultron Sigma. Her special move depends on her gauntlets that can launch a variety of damaging projectiles.

Venom is a returning character in the "Marvel vs. Capcom" franchise, and his aggressive playstyle will return to the game as well. Being the yin to Spider-man's yang, Venom has his own array of spider-themed moves. Oneis the Venom Glide — a harassing move that shoots spider web in six different directions.

Besides having all the standard features expected in premium characters, Venom, Black Widow, and Winter Soldier will also come with alternate costumes once purchased.

These three are not the first batch of DLC characters to be released for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." The previous Premium Character DLC included Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter.
