"Married at First Sight" brought audiences the reality show featuring strangers gathered by experts to get married on their first meeting.

The show reached a second season, with a "Six Months Later" special, which showed that nothing turned out well for the cast as none of them stayed married.

However, the show won't go into a third season, as reported in Ecumenical News, but fans will still get to see their strangers-to-couple cast as "Married at First Sight: The First Year" has been renewed for a second season.

The spin-off chronicles the lives of the married couples from season 1 — Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis as well as Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion.

It seems that the experiment of making strangers fall in love and stay in love has ended, and it will now focus on the lives of the happily married couples.

Meanwhile, International Business Times India reported what fans can expect from the spin-off set to premiere this Oct. 13.

Even though the show has been on break since spring, Doug and Jamie never fail to give updates to fans on social media.

They may have had some drama before they renewed their vows, but overall, the show ended with the couple leading happy lives compared to Cortney and Jason.

However, in a preview clip for the upcoming series, it showed that Jamie and Doug are facing financial troubles, while Cortney now has ladies to deal with considering her husband has gained popularity.

IBTimes noted that Jamie feels her husband is not handling financial matters well and is still depending on his folks. On the other hand, Doug is also reportedly unhappy with how Jamie treats him.

As for Cortney, she's dealing with the fact that her husband can get touchy-feely with ladies who are asking for his autograph.

It seems the upcoming season 2 of "Married at First Sight: The First Year" will showcase relationship troubles among the couples.

Fans should watch out for Cortney–Jason's and Doug–Jamie's journey to married life when "Married at First Sight: The First Year" season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. EST on FYI.
