'Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars' news: Kendra Wilkinson says marriage to Hank Baskett is 'amazing'

Last year, it seemed as though Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett's marriage was on its last legs after the former NFL player allegedly cheated on her with a transsexual. But now, the worst part of their marriage appears to be over as the pair worked through their rough patch and decided to stay together for the new season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" which premieres on Friday on WE tv.

At the red carpet for the premiere party for the show, Wilkinson told Us Weekly that she and her husband have taken the necessary steps to heal their marriage and that they are in a great place right now.

"Our marriage is amazing right now," she told the website. "We are working on it every single day. It's a lot of work 24/7, but we're both willing to put that time in and really stick it through."

The reality star added that both of them are in it "for the long run" and that they are working toward the same goals.
The "Kendra on Top" star credits "Marriage Boot Camp" for helping her deal with her trust issues with Baskett. Wilkinson said that they decided to do the show because they were going through a huge marital crisis at the time. She revealed that they did seek help, but by the time they got home to take care of their kids, the focus would revert back to them and they would often find themselves too distracted to really make their relationship work.

The 29-year old understands that many people would be very hesitant about airing their marital problems on TV.

"Most people would be like, 'Why would you do that in front of people?' I don't look at it like that," Wilkinson said. "Everybody might call it a show, I call it therapy."

One thing that she said she learned about the experience is what it means to truly forgive somebody. Initially, the mother of two thought that forgiveness meant being "a slave" to the other person and giving them power.

"It's not about that," Wilkinson said. "Forgiveness, I learned, is about unity."

Wilkinson and the former NFL player have been married since 2009 despite a brief split after Baskett's alleged affair in 2014. They are parents to 5-year-old Hank IV and 1-year old Alijah Mary.
