The year 2018 will be a big one for movie sequels, especially for "Mamma Mia" fans. The movie "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" has been confirmed to hit theaters on July 20, 2018. Most of the main cast members are expected to return, including Meryl Streep as Donna Carmichael, Pierce Brosnan as Sam Carmichael, Amanda Seyfried as Sophie Sheridan, and Colin Firth as Harry Bright. There will also be an addition to the cast as the movie plot includes younger versions of Donna, Harry Bright, and Sam.

The release date will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the "Mamma Mia" musical.

Lily James has been chosen to play young Donna and she has been posting on-set photos on Instagram. The production chose the Island of Vis in Croatia as one of their shooting location. Other cast members have also posted images of the island on their social media accounts, including Brosnan and Seyfried. The cast and crew have finished their movie agenda in Vis and are now moving to other areas in Croatia.

ABBA members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus will also work with director Ol Parker and the cast for the musical element of the movie. In an interview with ITV's Lorraine, Andersson said that he spent his summer with the cast and crew of the film. He also commended James and Seyfried for their singing prowess. "Lily James is singing really well and Amanda," he said. Andersson also defended Brosnan from all the jokes going around about him being a bad singer. Andersoon stated, "Everyone is joking about that, but he (Pierce Brosnan) is a good singer."

Fans are excited to see the first official trailer of the movie. "Mamma Mia" in 2008 was a Golden-Globe nominee for Best Motion Picture and Streep was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Comedy or Musical. The Universal Pictures studio is hoping for another big success with this anticipated movie sequel.
