Lexus LX 570 2016 revamped: Better look, better technology

After a series of leaked images, Lexus has finally unveiled its revamped 2016 LX 570 during the annual event of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The 2016 SUV model from Lexus has been given a significant makeover to improve the SUV's technology and appearance to make sure it has something to offer in its category.

Lexus did not give a full revamp on the car; however, the changes on the surface are enough to be noticeable, leaving only the door panels to carry the same design.

One of the obvious changes done to the vehicle was the headlights as it now has an aggressive appeal, according to Cheat Sheet. The automaker did not only incorporate a new shape for the headlights, but they, along with signal and fog lights, are now using light emitting diodes (LEDs).

On the interior part, the most significant change was found in the SUV's cabin. The previous model of LX 570 had leather interiors and an outdated infotainment system.

The revamp process tackled those issues and gave a new look to the vehicle's inside. The cabin now looks more modern, taking it to a closer level to Lexus LS sedan.

The infotainment system has also been improved, providing consumers a larger screen at 12.3 inches. Not only that, the larger screen makes operating the system a lot easier and it is also compatible with the latest Lexus Enform.

On the engine side, Lexus retained LX 750's 5.7-litre V8 engine, but the most important new feature is the eight-speed automatic transmission, which has taken over the six-speed one and promises better gas mileage.

The new designs and tweaks applied to Lexus LX 570 may not be considered much as a logical move for a U.S. vehicle, but Lexus definitely took it up a notch making a point that their SUV model has what it takes to compete with other models of its class.

The company has yet to make a formal announcement on the sale date for LX 570, but reports indicate that it will arrive in showrooms by the end of 2015.

Pricing information has yet to be announced as well and more details on this part should arrive as the SUV nears its sale date.
