Kelly Clarkson is clearly relishing her life as a wife and a mother. For her first Mother's Day, the season 1 American Idol winner revealed what her family gave her for the special day.

Clarkson said that her husband, Brandon Blackstock, made the day special with a handmade gift from their baby daughter River Rose.

"My husband had this little nugget scribble a Mother's Day card for me," she captioned an Instagram picture of her daughter. "I cried."

Blackstock has two children, Seth and Savannah, from a previous relationship, and the singer appears to have adjusted well to her role as stepmother.

"Best gifts I've been given are all 3 of my kiddos #River #Savannah #Seth," she continued. "My career inspires me but my family gives me this constant state of euphoria that is all consuming and ever growing and sometimes hard but completely worth it."

The singer also gave a shout out to all the mothers out there, as she added, "Happy Mother's Day to every single mama on the planet! You're beautiful! You're inspiring! And you create the future!"

Clarkson began dating talent manager Blackstock in February 2012. Blackstock is Reba McEntire's stepson through her marriage to Narvel Blackstock. The pair got engaged in December 2012 and married on October 2013 in Tennessee. River was born in June 2014.

The singer has previously said that being a wife and a mother will always be her first priority.

"I've accomplished a lot, but I guess the biggest success I want is that whenever I die people will say, 'She was so successful as a mother, and as a wife.'" Clarkson said to People Magazine back in February.

"I never thought I was going to be a mom, so it's very much changed my world in the most awesome way," she added.
