Kate Middleton pregnancy update: Duchess continues with service in 8th month

Kate Middleton has announced that she is due to give birth sometime in mid to late April. Despite this, the Duchess cannot be stopped from attending to her public engagements and doing them in style. She has had quite a busy week and its predictably her last set of public appearances before she takes a rest in preparation for the second royal baby.

She was recently seen visiting volunteers at Home-Start, a non-profit organization that helps more than 29,000 families per year. Known as a champion for underprivileged families, Kate spent a good amount of time listening to the stories of several of the families present. She also reportedly declined an invitation to have some biscuits and instead chose to discuss the work that the group has been doing with the workers including its CEO, Rob Parkinson.

The volunteers sent off Kate with a bag filled with tokens of appreciation. The bag included: a book for potty training for boys, a manual on how to teach children to tie their shoelaces, a toy sorter and a book on Elmer the elephant. Kate expressed her thanks to them saying that it is timely for Prince George. After her visit, she said she has a better understanding of how their work is impacting society in so many ways.

Prior to this visit, Kate celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Prince William by visiting the 1st Battalion Irish Guards as they made their annual parade in Aldershot, England.

On top of this, the Duchess even visited the award winning production set of Downton Abbey on March 12. The cast and crew were more than delighted to receive their surprise guest. Kate visited the costume, makeup and hair department. She posed for some photos with the cast.

In fulfilling all her duties, the public cannot help but notice that Kate cotninues to look stunning in her maternity clothes that actually do not appear to be maternity clothes. Her simple, elegant coats and dresses have drawn the attention of the press and they showered her with compliments and praises on her wardrobe choices.
