Production for the second season of "Jessica Jones" began last month, and set photos have recently been released to give fans a glimpse of their favorite characters.

The photos, which were posted on Tumblr account MCU Filming, did not reveal any details, as these only featured Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) on set for their scenes. Fan sites noted that the alcoholic superhero continues to wear the same set of clothes she did in the previous season, with some expressing their disappointment that she was not given a different outfit for the show's second season.

The production team is also keeping mum about the upcoming season so far. The only thing certain is that all the episodes will be helmed by female directors, according to CBR.

While no detail has been revealed on who will be playing as the season's main antagonist, some theorize that it will be Will Simpson (Wil Traval), who may take on the alter-ego Nuke after he was shown ingesting to power-enhancing, psyche-altering pills in season 1. This theory emerged after the actor revealed on Twitter that he was in New York, although he did not say why he was there. Another possible storyline is the exploration of how Jessica gained her powers.

A new cast member that has been added is Janet McTeer. However, no information has been given yet on her character. Aside from her, other new characters may also be brought into the show for its second season, as sleuthing fans have discovered casting calls for four different characters on the show. MCU Exchange analyzed these to identify which comic book characters will be translated into television roles.

With no clear details about the show coming from the cast and crew, fans are left to speculations about what season of "Jessica Jones" holds in store for the characters.
