Fans of Tony Stark will be hoping recent rumors are true, and that "Iron Man 4" is coming closer to becoming a reality. Various reports have looked to confirm that Iron Man 4 will definitely be pushing ahead, but some are still questioning whether the movie will really come to fruition.

According to a report from Master Herald, it was reported that "Iron Man 4" will start early production soon, with the publication pointing to film director Shane Black as its source.

Black reportedly said that Robert Downey Jr. will definitely reprise his character for a fourth installment and that he was 100 percent certain about this.

Other reports have confirmed that Iron Man will definitely have another standalone movie that features Tony Stark, but the filming has been delayed since the actor reportedly requested higher pay.

Despite the delay in commencing filming, it has been reported that Downey will still appear as Iron Man in a new film.

It was rumored by Master Herald that Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins) from "Iron Man 3," the boy who helped Stark hunt down Mandarin, will be taking over Stark's superhero role.

This suggests that the rumored fourth installment will be set in a future era with a grown up Harley who will be as smart and talented as Stark when he was his age.

Another rumor came from a report from VCP that the fourth movie may be released following "Marvel Phase 3," in which production is said to begin in 2017, as reported in Screen Rant.

If that is the case, the standalone Iron Man film may be scheduled for release in 2019.

So far, no concrete details or formal announcement has been given or confirmed by representatives from Marvel on the subject of a fourth "Iron Man" movie, although several reports point to a May 2019 release.

For those who don't want to miss out on Downey as Tony Stark, they can simply wait for the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" as it will feature the billionaire engineer. The Captain America movie will be released in theaters by May 2016.
