iPhone 6s news: Timer ad features Siri assisting Cookie Monster in baking cookies

The iPhone 6s is very handy when baking some cookies, especially with Siri around. There is also no one better than Cookie Monster when it comes to cookies. The lovable "Sesame Street' character had the first-hand experience working with Apple's intelligent assistant.

In the ad released by Apple, Cookie Monster needs to bake some cookies and asks Siri to set the timer of the iPhone 6s.

He says, "Hey Siri, set timer for fourteen minutes."

Siri, being the obedient assistant that she is, acknowledges the request and answers, "OK. Fourteen minutes and counting."

The scene shows the iPhone 6s' countdown. The impatient blue monster then requests Siri for some music to be played to get his boredom out of the way. Of course, Siri grants the request. Incidentally, no song is more fitting at that particular moment than "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce.

The whole advertisement is a minute long but everybody knows how impatient Cookie Monster is, especially for cookies. He is so bored for the whole duration of the ad. He turns the oven light on and off, plays with the flour and even tastes it as it is. He also reads a book, plays with some measuring cups, and a few more things.

Cookie Monster then asks Siri one last time, "Hey Siri, check the timer."

Siri acknowledges the command and shows that there are still 13 minutes and a few seconds left before the cookies are ready and this is so disappointing for Cookie Monster.

At the end of the clip, it says, "Hands-free Siri on iPhone 6s."

Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface, i.e. Siri, is a personal assistant in a digital form. It can recognize voice commands, which makes it very efficient for a hands-free operation, especially on the iPhone 6s.

The iPhone 6s is a 4.7 inch smartphone that offers 750 x 1334 pixel screen resolution. It has a 1.84 GHz dual-core A9 processor paired with PowerVR GT7600 six-core GPU. It also comes with a 2GB RAM and different internal storage capacities.

Apple boasts the iPhone 6s's 12MP camera that produces great pictures. It is also capable of recording 4K videos and taking 8MP images at the same time.

The latest advertisement is part of a series for the iPhone 6s featuring several celebrities, who include Stephen Curry, Jamie Foxx, Bill Hader and Jon Favreau.
